General Terms and Conditions (GTC) for the Brazilian Zouk Switzerland Association

1. scope of application

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all contracts concluded between the Brazilian Zouk Switzerland Association (hereinafter referred to as the “Association”) and the users of the brazilian-zouk.ch website (hereinafter referred to as the “User”). These include, in particular, the purchase of event tickets and registration for membership of the Association.

2. conclusion of contract

By booking event tickets or registering for membership on our website, the user submits a binding offer to conclude a contract. The contract is concluded by the confirmation of the association by e-mail.

3. membership

The association offers two types of membership: active and passive memberships. An active membership gives the member access to various club offers, such as workshops, training sessions or other events – a passive membership supports the club in an idealistic way. Depending on the event, the club offers can also be used without membership, but without benefits. Membership begins after payment of the membership fee and written confirmation from the association. Membership is automatically extended by one year unless it is terminated at least four weeks before the end of the current membership year.

4. event tickets and excursions

The club offers event tickets and tickets for club outings for purchase via the website. The tickets are personalized and non-transferable. A refund of purchased tickets is generally excluded, unless the club cancels or postpones the event. In this case, the user is entitled to a refund of the ticket price.

5. terms of payment

Payment is made using the payment method offered on the website. The membership fee or ticket price is due in advance. The user will only receive access to the booked services once payment has been received.

6. liability

The association is only liable for damages caused by intentional or grossly negligent behavior. Liability for simple negligence is excluded unless it is a breach of material contractual obligations.

7. data protection

The association collects, processes and uses users’ personal data exclusively in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations. Further information can be found in the privacy policy on the website.

8. no right of withdrawal

There is no right of withdrawal for contracts for event tickets or memberships.

9 Place of jurisdiction and applicable law

Swiss law shall apply. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is the registered office of the Association in Zurich.

10. final provisions

Should individual provisions of these GTC be invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The association reserves the right to amend these GTC at any time. Users will be notified of any changes by e-mail.
